An old track, from all the way back in 2006, Exceeder was one of my favorite tracks in high school. I loved speeding it up and using it as a hype track before swimming. It's gone through several iterations since its 2006 release. Check them out after the jump!

Retrospective - World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Part 2
Last time, on the blog, I talked about the introduction of Mists of Pandaria, and all the new stuff that it brought with it's release. Now, however I'm going to talk about the rest of the expansion, and show how the expansion grew up throughout the Patches and my thought on everything that happened. More after the jump.

Throwback Thursday: Michael Woods - No Access
Today's throwback is to 2011. Since Michael Woods won't release In Your Arms on Beatport, I'll just improvise by listening to his old stuff, and No Access is one of my favorite tracks. I'm still waiting on him to come near Atlanta so I can see him, but with him being featured twice on the 5 years of Mau5 album (look for a review next week), There's plenty of Michael Woods to listen to, even if I can't hear 'In Your Arms'.
Have a great Thursday!

Retrospective - World of Warcraft: Mist of Pandaria Part 1
My Warlords of Draenor review was very popular, so I figured it would only be fair to show you a final review, once all the raid tiers have been finished, and talk about how the last expansion played out. What is my view on the Mists of Pandaria as a whole? Well, in order to fully explore everything about the Mists of Pandaria, I'm going to need two (maybe three) whole blog posts to talk about it. Trust me, I'm gonna cover pretty much everything. So buckle down and join me in the doozy of a post as I talk about the Mists of Pandaria.

Sunday Shorties: Gold - Adventure Club
OK, I may be late on the Adventure Club Bandwagon here. But I've been bumping them a lot because they keep coming up on my Pandora station, so I thought I would explore them a little more, and I really love how they have energetic beats with beautiful vocals (sorta for the same reason that i love that Gold Dust remix, and that Bassnectar remix of Lights). Check them out and let me know what you think!
I also love this track for the same reason. Give it a listen as well.
Have a great Sunday!

OpenRaid: The Reason I Love World of Warcraft
I've discussed this before, but never fully explained it before now. A lot of the reason I've managed to keep my interest up in the World of Warcraft is because of the people that I've been able to meet in the game. I have the people in my guild, who I've met several times, and can really bond with. They're some of the coolest friends I have. However, this post is not about them. This post is about the friends I've made on a wonderful app called Openraid.
I sing my praises to Openraid and talk about my journey after the jump.

Sunday Shorties: Feed Me - Diplo and Friends Mix
For my Sunday Shorties, I'm giving you another set. This time, it's by one of my favorite artists, Feed Me. Melissa and I had the pleasure of seeing Feed Me live last summer, and we had a blast.
One of the coolest shows we had seen in a while, plus it was a great warmup before I took Melissa to Tomorrow World. Today I'm posting a set he did this week on Diplo and Friends. It has a lot of really groovy tracks, and some NEW FEED ME on it. Definitely worth a listen. Wuzzle and Different World my be my new jams. Check it below:
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Throwback Thursday: Nero's Essential Mix Nov. 2010
My Throwback this Thursday is to 2010. I pretty much consider this to be my favorite essential mix of all time. I had never heard anything like this before. Dubstep wasn't a new thing, but it was just starting to come out of the woodwork (Skrillex's first and second EP, My Name is Skrillex and Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites had just come out, and I was playing that on loop at this point). Nero managed to take all of dubstep and turn it into a journey. A lot of old dance classics can be heard in this set, and it makes a wonderful journey that crescendos into an epic climax that can only be described as Nero music. I would have to wait for 9 months to hear a lot of their music to be released on their album, Welcome Reality. But that wouldn't keep my from listening to this set on repeat for that time. It's an incredible set that sums up the EDM environment at the time perfectly. Catch the set and more after the jump.

First Impressions- World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor Review Part 1
So nearly a week after the new World of Warcraft expansion is released, and after spending countless hours in it already, what are my thoughts on it?
This is my sort of review, as not a lot can truly be said about something like World of Warcraft, mostly because one needs months to truly understand how the expansion really plays out. Yes, the expansion is there, and I can play any part of it, but I only get about half of the picture right now. The real picture starts to come into play once all your friends are at your level, the quests aren't as fresh, and you've done a lot of the new material. The rest of the review comes when Blizzard shows how long the content can stay fresh, either through the sheer size of options to entertain yourself or through the numerous raids that can be added on. That's why I'm splitting this review up into several different parts, to show how my impression of the expansion changes along with time.
However, that is not for right now, now is time for the first first impression review. What are my thoughts on the expansion after a week of playtime? Find out after the jump.

Dillon Francis - Money Sucks, Friends Rule
So Melissa and I got to see Dillon Francis live at Tomorrow World, and I told her "I don't care who is on, we are making sure that we make it to see Dillon Francis play." And of course, it was amazing. And we heard a ton of his new music, which we loved. And then we learned he had a new album coming out, at which time we got very excited. Listen to me talk about it it after the jump.

Throwback Trance Thursday: Riley & Durrant - Candesco
Quick post throwing back to 2004, this track was featured in many famous DJ's sets, including Tiesto's legendary 2003 performance in Netherlands (full post on that later). This track embodies the early 2000's style of dance, full of energy, fast, and meant to get you moving.
Enjoy and have a great Thursday!

10 Things I'm Looking Forward To In Draenor
With Warlords of Draenor just around the bend, I'm ready to sit down with some hot pockets, ignore my phone calls, skip a few days of work and sleep, and grind baby grind. (I'm only doing a few of those). But I think this image does a great job of showing how hyped I am.
LET'S GET READY TO GO TO DRAENOR! ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN (choo choo)
I'm going to tell you things I'm looking forward to in the expansion after the jump.

My Hydra Deck, or Why I Love The Colors Green and Blue
So I love playing the card game Magic the Gathering. It's probably what I spend 20% of my day thinking about (The other 80% is my bear and my beats).
I plan to do a bunch of Magic posts, many highlighting decks I've build or decks I'm playing, and how they do in events we go to. So after the jump, read about my Hydra deck, and why I love playing it!

Sunday Shorties: Bleu Moon - Eclipse
So every Sunday, I'm going to be doing a quick blurb on a track that I'm loving at the moment, and it's my honor to make this first one about one of my best friends, and the amazing track he's helped make.
To make a long story short, I'm longtime friends with one of the producers on this team, and he showed me this track a while back, and I was so excited. He just showed me the buildup, and I felt like jumping out of my seat and raging! It was amazing to hear something like that! Now he's released the track as a FREE DOWNLOAD (suck it Taylor Swift), you should download this track and give a listen to his other tracks. I love Warlords so much that it's my alarm clock, and he has a remix of Runaway that is pretty awesome! Support Bleu Moon and I'll catch you guys next time!

Defense Grid 2
So what I've been playing right now is a little quirky game called Defense Grid 2. I got it on the PS4 because of the multiplayer split-screen opportunities, but it's also available on Steam and the Xbox One for $25.
Do you love tower defense games as much I do? Check out gameplay footage and my take on it after the game.

My Heroic Siege of Orgrimmar Group
So with the new World of Warcraft expansion,Warlords of Draenor, is right around the corner, and after the Cataclysm expansion that renovated the leveling up experience, the Mist of Pandaria expansion turned out to be on of my favorite expansions to date. There was never a lack of things to explore and do, and I never even got to explore the Player vs. Player aspect of the game, I was always working on a new aspect of the expansion I hadn't worked on before (I plan on doing more PvP next expansion). I promise, if none of this makes much sense to you, don't stop reading, because this isn't all about nerdy things (although it is an overarching theme). Today I'm going to tell you about to amazing group of people I've been raiding with for the past ten weeks, and I'll explain all of this to the non-nerd initiated, so you can understand this story with me. Full story after the jump (Beware, it's quite a doozy of a read)!

Blog Revival + New M Machine EP
Hey guys, I decided to start blogging again, but rather than make it just a music thing, I'm going to make it more of a 'what I'm sinking my time/ preparing to sink my time into blog, along with some food things. Basically think of it as a nerdy lifestyle blog.
I've gone ahead and made some layout changes, including a name and logo change (That's not final by the way), and I have added categories, so you can search by what type of post you want to see.
So yeah, hopefully with expanding my blog topics, I'm more inclined to post stuff. On that topic, look out soon for a post talking about my World of Warcraft group, and all we've been able to do. I'm looking forward to talking about the amazing group of people I've found. I have a short M Machine post that I've done, after the jump.
