Deadmau5 - Five Years of Mau5

So after a very lucrative 50% Beatport sale, I managed to snag a bunch of music I had been meaning to get for quite a while, and one of the things I was finally able to snag was the new deadmau5 album. Although a lot of  the first half isn't new music,it's still a wonderful collection, and I talk more about it after the jump.

Throwback Thursday: Mason - Exceeder

An old track, from all the way back in 2006, Exceeder was one of my favorite tracks in high school. I loved speeding it up and using it as a hype track before swimming. It's gone through several iterations since its 2006 release. Check them out after the jump!

Throwback Thursday: Michael Woods - No Access

Today's throwback is to 2011. Since Michael Woods won't release In Your Arms on Beatport, I'll just improvise by listening to his old stuff, and No Access is one of my favorite tracks. I'm still waiting on him to come near Atlanta so I can see him, but with him being featured twice on the 5 years of Mau5 album (look for a review next week), There's plenty of Michael Woods to listen to, even if I can't hear 'In Your Arms'.

Have a great Thursday!

Sunday Shorties: Gold - Adventure Club

OK, I may be late on the Adventure Club Bandwagon here. But I've been bumping them a lot because they keep coming up on my Pandora station, so I thought I would explore them a little more, and I really love how they have energetic beats with beautiful vocals (sorta for the same reason that i love that Gold Dust remix, and that Bassnectar remix of Lights). Check them out and let me know what you think!
I also love this track for the same reason. Give it a listen as well.

Have a great Sunday!

Sunday Shorties: Feed Me - Diplo and Friends Mix

For my Sunday Shorties, I'm giving you another set. This time, it's by one of my favorite artists, Feed Me. Melissa and I had the pleasure of seeing Feed Me live last summer, and we had a blast.

One of the coolest shows we had seen in a while, plus it was a great warmup before I took Melissa to Tomorrow World. Today I'm posting a set he did this week on Diplo and Friends. It has a lot of really groovy tracks, and some NEW FEED ME on it. Definitely worth a listen. Wuzzle and Different World my be my new jams. Check it below:

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Throwback Thursday: Nero's Essential Mix Nov. 2010

My Throwback this Thursday is to 2010. I pretty much consider this to be my favorite essential mix of all time. I had never heard anything like this before. Dubstep wasn't a new thing, but it was just starting to come out of the woodwork (Skrillex's first and second EP, My Name is Skrillex and Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites had just come out, and I was playing that on loop at this point). Nero managed to take all of dubstep and turn it into a journey. A lot of old dance classics can be heard in this set, and it makes a wonderful journey that crescendos into an epic climax that can only be described as Nero music. I would have to wait for 9 months to hear a lot of their music to be released on their album, Welcome Reality. But that wouldn't keep my from listening to this set on repeat for that time. It's an incredible set that sums up the EDM environment at the time perfectly. Catch the set and more after the jump.

Sunday Shorties: Deadmau5 @ Honda Stage

Hey so this quickie is more of a liveset that previews Deadmau5's new album, 5 years of Mau5. It comes out in two weeks, but a lot of the tracks on that album are played here. I lot of good tunes that take me back. Give a listen here:

5 years of Mau5 comes out November 25th.
Hope you guys had a great weekend!

Dillon Francis - Money Sucks, Friends Rule

So Melissa and I got to see Dillon Francis live at Tomorrow World, and I told her "I don't care who is on, we are making sure that we make it to see Dillon Francis play." And of course, it was amazing. And we heard a ton of his new music, which we loved. And then we learned he had a new album coming out, at which time we got very excited. Listen to me talk about it it after the jump.

Throwback Trance Thursday: Riley & Durrant - Candesco

Quick post throwing back to 2004, this track was featured in many famous DJ's sets, including Tiesto's legendary 2003 performance in Netherlands (full post on that later). This track embodies the early 2000's style of dance, full of energy, fast, and meant to get you moving.

Enjoy and have a great Thursday!

Sunday Shorties: Bleu Moon - Eclipse

So every Sunday, I'm going to be doing a quick blurb on a track that I'm loving at the moment, and it's my honor to make this first one about one of my best friends, and the amazing track he's helped make.

To make a long story short, I'm longtime friends with one of the producers on this team, and he showed me this track a while back, and I was so excited. He just showed me the buildup, and I felt like jumping out of my seat and raging! It was amazing to hear something like that! Now he's released the track as a FREE DOWNLOAD (suck it Taylor Swift), you should download this track and give a listen to his other tracks. I love Warlords so much that it's my alarm clock, and he has a remix of Runaway that is pretty awesome! Support Bleu Moon and I'll catch you guys next time!

Blog Revival + New M Machine EP

Hey guys, I decided to start blogging again, but rather than make it just a music thing, I'm going to make it more of a 'what I'm sinking my time/ preparing to sink my time into blog, along with some food things. Basically think of it as a nerdy lifestyle blog.

I've gone ahead and made some layout changes, including a name and logo change (That's not final by the way), and I have added categories, so you can search by what type of post you want to see.

So yeah, hopefully with expanding my blog topics, I'm more inclined to post stuff. On that topic, look out soon for a post talking about my World of Warcraft group, and all we've been able to do. I'm looking forward to talking about the amazing group of people I've found. I have a short M Machine post that I've done, after the jump.

DV&LM vs DVBBS+Borgeous - Stampede (BeTa remix)

Sorry guys, I've been busy with being sick/ other things, so this blog's been neglected for a little back. I have a great present coming for you guys on Monday, so get ready for that. In the meantime, I have a sick remix for you guys. More after the jump!

Monday Munchies 10/28

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been updating. I got a Hearthstone beta key, and I've been playing League of Legends before the end of the season happens. In addition there hasn't been too much to catch my eye that's worthy of a blog post, but I'll show you guys what I'm listening to right now. I've got a bunch of random stuff I think you guys will enjoy. Bunch of goodies after the jump!

Feed Me - Calamari Tuesday

Feed Me is at it again, this time with a full album that brings in vocals from Tasha Baxter and Crystal Fighters. I've been waiting a long time for this album; my thoughts after the jump.

Tomorrow World 2013 Picture Album

So my friend Paul and I went to Tomorrow World last weekend. Rather than tell you about it, I'd rather just show you. I posted the album below. Sorry, there's no videos, my broken phone could only take pictures. But I hope you enjoy the album. I posted it after the jump.

The Bloody Beetroots - Hide

This album came out last week, but I was occupied. However, I now get to finally review the new album from the kings of electro, The Bloody Beetroots. More after the jump.

Avicii - True

It was a pretty slow week for music, nothing too much to see as the festival season kicks into gear and artists beginning debuting their summer jams. However, to my surprise I saw an Avicii album waiting for me to listen to. I give my two cents after the jump.

Kill The Noise - Black Magic Remixes

I meant to do something about this when it came out last week, but it slipped my mind. So here we go into the spectacular remix album from Kill The Noise. More after the jump.

Carnage x Tony Junior - Michael Jordan (LOUDPVCK Remix)

It's finally here! The long awaited remix. LOUDPVCK's remix of Michael Jordan! Link and more after the jump!

Shopping Sunday! New tracks in my library!

So I do buy all of my music, which seems to be a rarity these days. The exception is when artists give away their music on Soundcloud. Then I eat that free music up like it's my birthday cake. But anyway, I went shopping on Beatport, and I got a LOT of new music. I figured I'd share with you guys the new items in my tracks I'm listening to. More after the jump!
